Webkinz are toy stuffed animals that were originally released by the Ganz company on April 29, 2005. An 8-character code can be found on every Webkinz Animal and its accesory. By registering this code on the Webkinz website, the customer “adopts” this pet in the virtual Webkinz World. Without the Secret Code, the user may not get access to the Webkinz world. Accounts expire within one year, unless another Webkinz animal is purchased, and that animal added to the user account.

The Webkinz World is an online play area which has its own economy. The user receives money (called KinzCash) by adopting new pets, playing online games, answering general knowledge questions, and through daily activities like clicking “I love my Webkinz!”, spinning the Wheel of WOW, playing Wishing Well 2, or completing jobs (minigames) available once every 8 hours. Each day, there is a Game of the Day which can be played for bonus KinzCash, and other bonuses are available each hour, full days on weekends and afternoons only on weekdays. With each Webkinz toy purchased, more money, rooms, and items are added to the user’s account.

Users can spend their KinzCash at what is called the W Shop, where they can purchase food and clothing for their pet, items for their pet’s room or to build additional rooms onto their house, or outdoors areas etc. Users can decorate a room for their pet with pre-made themes, or mix and match their own furniture.

When considering what kind of bed that would be great for our little one that has grown big that their toddler bed is not suitable anymore, a twin bed is the best solution. Twin Bed Dimensions are perfect as they are not that big for the transition from toddler bed, and yet big enough that it doesn’t require another bigger bed at least for the next few couples years.

Picking a Twin Bed

To help us better size-up the space that we will be reserving for our twin bed, it would be good to know that Twin Bed Dimensions are thirty-nine inches in width and seventy-five inches in length.

Children of various ages are fond of taking pictures especially teenagers. They are always on the go and want to bring along their digital cameras. My 12-year old daughter is of no exception. She keeps on asking me about having a digital camera. I [madegave] a promise that I will give her one after her graduation.

I tried to look for an affordable digital camers on the internet because I couldn’t afford an expensive one. I found a Digital Pink 626 Disney Pix Click Princess Digital Camera. I can definitely afford this kind of camera because it doesn’t cost me too much. I know this will be the perfect camera for my daughter.

The digital camera has 16 MB that can hold up to 200 photos and the VGA is 640 x 480. The brand name is Digital Blue which one of the leading producers of electronic stuff. This Disney digital camera requires 2 AA batteries. You can also easily download photos in the computer. I am confident enough that my daughter can easily transfer pictures from the camera to the computer without my supervision. Like most teenagers nowadays, I assume that she will upload and post all her pictures on her favorite social site where other people can see what’s she’s been doing.

She can alsomake awesome photos and creative graphics using the Disney Pix Click Camera Princess. Disney characters and frames as well as stamps can also be customized which is what my daughter will really love. She likes most of the Disney characters and would love to have a picture with them. Cinderella is among her favorite Disney character. If I would give her a camera like this, she would be very happy and wouldn’t wait to take a picture with her favorite Disney character. She would also be very proud to own a beautiful and affordable camera.

I’m very sure that she will treasure and keep this camera. But I must order the digital pink camera before her graduation. That’s why I had to purchase the camera as soon as possible while it is still inexpensive and available online. A week ago before her graduation, I purchased the Disney pink digital camera.

My plan of buying a digital camera was not told to my daughter. I wanted her to feel special as she’s expected to be surprised and to have full of excitement. On her graduation day, I gave the digital camera wrapped in a presentable box to my daughter. She immediately opened the box and was astonished to see a digital camera that she’d been craving to own for very long time. She thanked me and felt happy that day. She can no longer wait to go on stage and get her diploma. Like what I’ve thought, she would bring the camera right on her graduation day to capture every moment and every friend she has.

On her anticipated big day, she did bring her digital pink camera and was proud to show it to her classmates. Who wouldn’t if you can have the Disney characters on your graduation day? When she took pictures on her graduation, my daughter included some Disney characters. Many picture shots had Disney characters on them. I could tell she was really satisfied with this digital camera.

As for the commonly used Ritalin, did you know that if your child has taken Ritalin after the age of 12, then he or she will not be considered suitable for serving in the Armed Forces because (according to Army recruiters) the drug causes a potential brain alteration.

Do you realize that in some school districts, nearly half the children are labeled as having behavioral problems?  You are not alone and neither is your child!

It’s time for you to ask yourself a couple of questions:

Should you risk medicating your child with potentially brain-altering drugs on the outside chance that they will be beneficial? Do the risks of body-chemistry problems outweigh possible benefits? If you don’t feel comfortable taking these kinds of chances with your child, then tell your doctor you want your child to only take medications that are absolutely necessary. Could you accomplish behavior modifications some other way?  Let’s look at some lifestyle issues that have a major bearing on children’s behavior: First of all . . . there's television. The average American watches 6 hours of television per day. This is both sedentary and over-stimulating and delivers negative messages.  Limit your child to no more than 2 hours (preferably less) of viewing per day. Take the television out of your child’s room and don’t use it as a babysitter. The same thing goes for computer games. Why don’t you send your child to your backyard gym for a little old-fashioned, physical play? Or better yet, join him!

And another thing I've noticed: an effective nutritional program is always a good line of defense. Really work to improve your child’s diet. Insist that your child eat fruits and vegetables. Cut out sugar, white flour, chemical additives, fast foods, and preservatives as much as you can. Replace sodas, Kool-Aid and other sugared drinks with plenty of pure water.  Stop using Happy Meals, candy, or cookies as rewards. Try substituting non-toxic prizes, like a trip to the zoo, an art project, or a story reading. If your child needs tooth fillings, tell your dentist to substitute an inexpensive composite or porcelain for mercury (silver) fillings. Mercury fillings are toxic to the body. Don't fall for it if he tries to insist that silver amalgam fillings are safe. Be sure your child gets 8 hours or more of sleep. Actual studies show that children need 10-11 hours of sleep. In addition, these studies clearly show that a sleep-deprived child is crabbier and much more of a behavior problem. (See my complete special report on ADD at www.dreileensilva.com.)

And, last, but not least, spend quality time with your child, encouraging him or her to have a great day in school and to do better in class work by reinforcing positive things in your conversation. A loved, secure, well-fed, well-rested child, who has healthy playtime activities, is less likely to have behavior problems . . . and is also better armed to cope with whatever problems come along.

The many advantages of home singing lessons
The majority of wannabe singers presume they need to attend some kind of singing school or private coaching classes to sing well. Admittedly private lessons and singing school are great ways to learn to sing, but unfortunately for most people it’s a luxury they can’t afford. Lucky for folks like us learning to sing at home is an affordable alternative and an excellent way to learn to sing. In most cases singing at home will also be the most convenient option. Here’s a list of just some of the many benefits:

  • There’s less pressure and you don’t have to worry about embarrassing yourself.
  • You can play home singing lessons over as often as you need to.

Where to practice singing at home?
Anywhere where you can be alone and concentrate is a good place to practice singing. Ideally you should have a area that you can leave set up for your singing practice so it’s easier to get started.

When to practice singing at home?
My recommendation is to schedule your singing for a specific time each day. It’s not important whether it’s in the morning or later at night. The important thing is that you choose a time when you can focus on your practice and you’ll be free from distractions.

How long should I practice singing?
Your skill and experience will determine how long your practice sessions will be. If you’re a beginner then 15 – 20 minutes a day will be fine. As your singing improves and your voice gets stronger, you can start increasing this to about 30 – 60 minutes. But don’t forget that a 20 minutes practice session in which you’re focused is preferable to an hour of unfocused practice. Also shorter regular practice is much better than occasional marathon training sessions. And don’t strain your voice. If it gets tired, then rest it.

Tips for singing at home
My best advice is to stop looking for reasons why you can’t sing and just start doing it. If space is a problem for you at home, then practice singing in the shower or in the basement. If you’re pressed for time then do your vocal warm ups during your commute in the car. Don’t be held back by inconveniences. Also forget any hang ups you have about being heard during your home singing practice because with a little perseverance you will be a fantastic singer.

As crazy as it seems, these days reality television offers a very real opportunity for talented individuals to get “discovered” and become famous singers almost overnight. Popular television programs like American Idol and other reality shows across the globe are constantly looking for talented singers to captivate their audiences. Shows like these are launching aspiring singers into successful singing careers across the globe.

Don’t lose sight of the fact that although singers can shoot to stardom within a few short months, these people were talented singers before making an appearance on singing television shows. In most cases these singers were working hard at developing their talent years before their lucky break came along. While many describe show contestants as having “got lucky”, the truth is that reality TV contestants create their own luck by being motivated and daring enough to enrol for the show and participate in auditions. Woody Allen said it best, “Eighty percent of success is showing up”.

Just like it helps to know people in the right places, reality singing shows work in a similar way to having the right connections. They help people to get the exposure they need to achieve their singing dreams. Just to be clear, by no means am I saying that you only have to show up to become a famous singer through TV singing shows. Showing up for an audition for a TV singing show is no guarantee that you have what it takes to pass the gruelling auditions. The likes of American Idol are highly competitive and the odds of truly standing out in one of these contests is slim. The rewards however are huge and of course if you don’t try, you may never discover your real singing potential.
