No More Excercise This Christmas?

Because of the recession the items that people are buying this year have actually changed a hell of a lot. This is partly because people are trying to save a bit of money and partly because a lot of the kids have already got the things they really wanted the year before.

Just think about it. All of the boys toys like the computer consoles such as the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii have been out for almost a good 5 years now which means that most of the people that are after these kinds of things have in fact already got them.

So your little girl may want something like the newest barbie or the new Go Go Hamsters that have somehow been pushed out as the best selling toy this year. What are parents really looking to get their children this year?

Well believe it or not in most cases technology is out this year and parents are looking for more traditional toys like the 12ft trampoline to give to their kids this year.

Many people think that the trampoline is cheap when it really isnt, it is actually more often than not more expensive than buying something like a games console.

There are other gifts parents are looking into getting like play set.

Keeping the kids healthy is going to be very important for future generations as the obesity levels in kids is currently at an all time high. Obesity would certainly fall in children if parents stopped buying their kids games consoles and started buying them things like this.

The real question to ask is what do we want our kids to do, what they want to do with their life or what they want to do. It is really put to you as a parent to make the decision.

Trampolines Old Now?

A lot of people have mentioned that this year they will not be getting their children things like garden play frame but will go out and get their kids brand new Xbox 360’s and PS3’s. So although this may be exactly what your children are after is it really what you should be getting them and are play sets really that outdated?

Of course they aren’t. One of the major problems with climbing frames and things along these lines is that you cannot set them up in the winter which can be difficult to explain on christmas day. Perhaps you should look into getting that involves something with both excercise and doing nothing, not many things out there but I am sure you can find something.

Of course when the age of the child goes up they are not going to be wanting to play with those swings and slides which is where that important 10ft trampoline comes into it. The great thing about these is that they are suited for people of all ages.

What is there that can be done? There is often not enough money coming in to go out and get your child something like a very expensive games console and a trampoline so what should you do? If your child has asked for a games console then make sure you do not go out and buy just a trampoline as this would be pretty harsh. However if the child is younger then it would be best to get something like a trampoline so they are not brought up always sitting in front of a screen.

Computer games are very good for the mind as it helps with hand eye coordination but make sure they do not sit in front of it all of the time. So there oyu have it
