If you are one of the millions who watched the cartoon series, then you probably already know about Yugi’s Dark Magician. Some of you reading this are already owners of entire dueling decks based on the dark magician and black chaos cards. In case you have done the latter, you will probably want to make sure you a particular card in your deck: The Dark Magician Girl.

This card could very easily be a perfect complement to your decks, centering on magician cards. The reason that the dark magician girl card is so strong isn’t because it starts with 2000 attack power, it can also gain attack power through a special ability. The special ability is that it’s attack power is raised by 300 for every single magician card in either player’s graveyard, or both!

Picture yourself with a magician deck in hand dueling another player, who is playing with a magician deck. Imagine that you now play your dark magician girl card after you have both lost a few magician cards to the graveyard and you can easily see yourself starting this card with 3000 attack power or higher, and being a very powerful play on its own.

Despite the fact that this card is a rare, it can often be worth paying a little more money just to have it added into your dueling deck.

Clearly a more powerful card, the dark magician starts with more power than the girl version, but it also increases attack power for all dragon cards that have hit the graveyard as well as magician cards. But, playing both cards can easily work out to be a great combination because they can each make each other considerably stronger. Owning one or the other should cause you to consider getting the other card since they compliment each other so well.

Even more powerful are the Chaos Magicians. Despite the fact that these magicians have higher starting attack power, losing them during a duel will simply add 300 attack power to your magician girl. Playing these magician cards first will often be a great way to open an attack while using your magician girl to come in at the end and clean up whatever is left over with her now comparable attack power. Then you can throw in your Dark Magician and have an even higher attack power!
